The Next Bright Idea

I must admit I am in love with children apparels that you can wear at home looking not overly dressed and if you decide on an impulse to bring your little bubs out for a stroll or to the mall, there is really no need to get them to change to something more 'decent', yet she will still look perfectly stylish without trying too hard. Which is why I love tunics, kaftans and apparels that just look so effortlessly chic and cool that you can wear it both at home lounging around, or out at the park, beach and in the mall. Throw in a flora head band or groovy accessories and your little one is ready to stand out in the crowd. :) 

Talking about tunics and kaftans, recently I have been much into Mexican and Spanish influenced fashion. To think about it, it actually started a while back with my appreciation on Frida Khalo's art pieces at a young age as it always presented so much intensity, sorrow and darkness. Somehow along the way, the attention drifted to her as a stylish fashion icon, with every fashion brand getting inspired by her quirky folksy fashion style usually decked out with beautiful flora head pieces and accessories (which is so trendy at music festivals these days). Those traditional motifs to rich hand-stitched embroideries and beautiful colours gives any dresses so much more ethnicity and vibrancy.

I have been inspired and so did recent Dolce & Gabanna's heavily Spanish-influenced summer 2015 collection! We all need some bright happy colours and flowers these days! Now I am ready to start penning down some 'bright' ideas for my next design for our little friends out there.
